Yikes, where the heck have the last couple of months *gone*? It's been ages since my last update, so I'm going to try to do something about that and get back to posting regular writing updates again. Who knows, maybe that will actually help me get back on the right track with writing again. *sigh*
So, what have I been up to? Well, not much writing that's for sure. :P Mostly, I've been busy focusing on getting my knee in decent working order again. I was doing therapy three times a week for month and then was cut down to two sessions for the past couple of weeks. Next week he's having me only come in once, so we'll see how that goes. Right now, I still have the annoying click but at least it doesn't hurt. And really, as long as I wear the blasted brace, it doesn't really click very much anymore. So it's going well and though still not quite normal, it's much better than it was. I am even at the point where I think I can live with it even if it doesn't ever get any better than it is presently. And how awesome is my chiro? Last Friday, he gave all of his patients who are moms a fresh carnation and a coupon for a free 10-min massage! He said he was making it his mission to see that all of "his Moms" were happy. :D I swear if this guy ever moves away, I'm going to have to follow him, lol.
On the "OH! Shiny!!!" front, our tax rebate/stimulus money came in last Wednesday afternoon. Two hours later, it was pretty much gone, lol. But the nice people at Dell are currently working very hard to make me a shiny new laptop that sounds super-awesome. :D And I am trying very hard to not feel guilty about spending that much money, lol. (My current laptop is over three years old and showing signs of more problems in the near future. Between that and the tiny hard drive, it was time to do something and the rebate provided the perfect opportunity to replace it.) Now if I can only make myself stop checking the shipping status every five minutes, I'll be all set. *vbg* You can expect some picspam after it arrives, though according to Dell's current schedule it will not be here until the end of the month. *cries*
On the writing front, things are going very slow. Maelstrom, the ThoughtCrimes fic, is coming along very slowly, but there has been some progress. And I am very excited about my NaNo novel again! I have finally come up some solutions to a number of problems with it, so now it's just a matter of making myself sit down to do the edits/adjustments/rewrites. But really, it was a MAJOR step for me just to identify the problems and come up solutions; hopefully the rest will come along fairly quickly now, too.
Okay enough rambling for now. To all the Mom's out there, hope you have a very happy Mother's Day! To everyone else, hope you have a terrific Sunday also! :)
