WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Yes, it's done. Stick a fork in it, it's D-O-N-E DONE!!!!! Finished. Completed. (aside from beta corrections and edits, of course...) Put to bed. In the can. Caput. Did I mention F-I-N-I-S-H-E-D? Oh, okay. How about DONE? YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAW!!!!!!

::does the happy, happy, happy dance:: This, of course, means that I can now unleash the muse on the poor boys in Atlantis. ::more happy dancing:: And since I'm waaay to wired to sleep, I may just have to allow her to start something tonight... ::evvvvaaaal cackling::

Reason: had to play taxi driver for daughter who needed ride to friend's house near school this evening; then had to make grocery run. (No food in house=crabby family-peoples...huh, who'd have ever thought???) Also, seems I'm still a bit wiped out by teh germy-ness, as all I wanted to do is sleep today...and sleep...and sleep...and sleep...

Still, looking on the bright side--only two, count 'em, ONE-TWO, scenes left and the first draft is completed!!!! I'm really going to try my darnedest to finish both tomorrow. ::crosses fingers, toes, & various other body parts:: Wish me luck, LOL!

Progress: finished O'Neill departure/Teal'c arrival scene. Only three more to go and we're finished with the first draft--WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

All in all, not too bad considering. We had granddaughter #1 here all weekend, then granddaughter #2 arrived for the evening not half an hour after her cousin left. Thankfully, the meds I got from the doc to KO teh germyness haven't been affecting me too much since the initial dose on Friday. (Hence the lack of updates for the past couple of days...) Still looking good for a finish to this by mid-week, though--YAY!!

Reason: difficult to type when you feel like you're about to hack up a lung...

May be taking tomorrow off from writing, not sure yet. Have conceded defeat to teh germyness and made Dr appt, so depending on what kind of drugs are prescribed, writing may or may not happen until I'm feeling better. ::sigh::

And I'm SO damn close now, too...

I'm having a really difficult time getting back into the swing of things after a nasty bout of the flu last week. So I've decided to borrow a page out of

sgcgategirl's book (who seems to have borrowed it from

gumnut) and start doing daily updates on my writing. So if either of you would prefer that I not swipe your idea, please let me know and I'll stop. It's just that Lord knows I need to do something to get me in gear and consistently writing again...
