(According to the info provided, scientists theorize that this is to keep the babies from freezing to death until they develop the needed layers of blubber to prevent this from happening.) "As you head through the ides of your novel month", the card then challenges you to take inspiration from these babies and know that you're developing the tools ("the kind of thickened skin and world-wise writing experience") that you will be using for the rest of your writing life. "Even if it just feels sometimes like you're swimming in circles."

Sorry to hear you head is hurting so badly. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Headaches are horrible. I also will be praying it's only a headache and not a prelude to any virus or other whatnot that tends to hit this time of the year.

Thanks, meli. :) An hour and three advil tablets later, the headache is fairly tolerable.

Don't worry, I'm not coming down with anything. :) I have had major sinus issues all my life, and this is nothing new for me. This headache will be gone as soon as the latest weather front moves through, which should be by this time tomorrow. ::sigh::

Oh, yes, every single time the fronts come through. Thanks for the offer--may have to take you up on it if things continue like this.

You know, strangely enough, it had gotten a lot better last winter while I was getting treated for headaches at the chiropracter. I think maybe they might need to skip my back treatment and do another one on my neck this week instead.

Yeah, my chiro is a five minute walk from my apt, so it's easy to get there even if Hubs has the car. (Weather permitting, of course.) I'm not sure how well I'd keep up with it if they weren't so close either.
