Got this from
alasse_fae and
sgcgategirl. Like a hint as to my taste in music? Well, let's just say that there are only two things that you will NEVER find on my iPod: Rap/Hip-Hop and anything by The Beatles. Just about any other group, person, genre may well show up at some point.
Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
1) Somewhere in the country there's a place where nobody knows your name…
2) When I saw you walk with him, tears filled my eyes.
3) How sweet it is to be loved by you…
hadesbabe got the title, How Sweet It Is. The one on my iPod was done by Marvin Gaye.
4) I've been down and done nothin' at all…
5) Hearts are worn in these dark ages.
6) I'm not afraid of anything.
7) The daylight's fadin' slowly, but time with you is standing still.
8) I'm starin' out into the night, tryin' to hide the pain…
9) Listen baby, ain't no mountain high, ain't no valley low…
hadesbabe also got the title on this one, Ain't No Mountain High. The one on my iPod is sung by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell.
10) To change the world, start with one step.
11) For once I want to be the car crash, not always just the traffic jam.
12) I'm learning, I'm yearning, I'm burning all your stuff...
13) Breathe in the night, let it know just who you are…
14) A man decides after seventy years, that what he goes there for is to unlock the door.
15) So she said "What's the problem, baby?"
16) What a beautiful noise comin' up from the street, got a beautiful sound, it's got a beautiful beat.
17) To all the girls I've loved before, who've traveled in and out my door…
alasse_fae got the title, To All The Girls I've Loved Before. My version is by Willie Nelson & Julio Iglesias, though, and not Stevie Wonder.
18) Each day through my window I watch her as she passes by…
19) Every night I'm lyin' in bed, holdin' you close in my dreams…
20) I've been a bad, bad girl. I've been careless with a delicate man.
hadesbabe got the title on this one, too--Criminal. The version on my iPod was done by Fiona Apple, though, and not Sheryl Crow.
21) I've lived life in a single room, hidin' my scars from the moon…
22) I need love, love to ease my mind.
hadesbabe got this one right. You Can't Hurry Love. I actually have both the Dianna Ross and Phil Collins versions on my iPod, but it was the Phil Collins one that played for this number.
23) Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Now if there's a smile on my face, it's only there tryin' to fool the public…
24) She's takin' her time making up the reasons to justify all the hurt in side…
25) Lyin' awake on this phone call, she's dreamin' of better days.
26) Oh the prairie light's are burnin' bright, the Chinook wind is a-movin' in…
27) Who can say for certain, maybe you're still here…
28) Beautiful dawn, lights up the shore for me…
29) I speak to myself sometimes and I say "Oh my, in a lot of ways you're a lucky guy."
30) The road is long, with a many a-winding turn that leads us to who knows where, who knows where…
I should have so been writing zine fic instead of this...
