I had such good intentions of posting regularly back when I started this last October. Sigh. Just like I had such good intentions when I signed on to participate in the Virtual Season 9 for SG-1...which brings me to my guilt-tripping issues.

I am so fracking far behind schedule that it is so not even funny. I feel totally horrible that I'm responsible for keeping the season from progressing. And it's my episode that is due up next, so it's definitely me at fault. Worse yet, the darn story is barely half-finished. Why am I so far behind? There are a number of reasons, ranging from two grown kids moving back in with us (bye-bye quiet time...sob!), having to babysit several days a week for the remaining grown kid's kid while her mom works, and most recently, a herniated disk in my back that kept me off the computer for several months. Even now, I can't sit comfortably enough to work on it for very long.

But you know, if I'm really honest with myself, the real reason it's become so difficult for me to find the motivation to write this is that I've found another obsession to capture my interest. Yep, gone are the days when I'd watch rerun upon rerun of SG-1 just because it was on. And last season, it really didn't concern me in the least if I didn't make it home from my weekly dinner date with hubby in time to catch the first episode. I didn't tape or record a single episode. I did catch most of the episodes on the second showing, but it is no longer a must-see show for me. I find that rather sad, actually.

What's my new obession?? Well, if the icon wasn't a dead-give-away, I'm now completely and totally into Stargate Atlantis--and especially the oh-so-HOT Lt. Colonel John Sheppard. I've even converted my daughter who moved back home until she finishes school...(whistles innocently) I liked the show and have watched from the beginning, but somehow, over the last season, I found my interest in Atlantis growing as the interest in SG-1 waned. My stubborn muse is SO wanting to play in the Atlantis pond right now! My Atlantis plot-bunny file is growing by leaps and bounds, but I'm refusing to let her (the muse, not the daughter!) play there until she helps me buckle down and finish the VS-9 episode we agreed to do. We are now at over a dozen bunnies and counting. And with the new season starting next week, I'm sure the file will be expanding exponentially.

Damn.

I *really* need to buckle down and get that VS-9 ep finished...
